Adding Custom Pins

Lets say you have a specific brand or logo that represents your business and you would love to have this appear on your map instead of the Storemapper default pin.

How can I add my custom marker to my map?

You will need to host the image somewhere on your own site as you can’t upload the file to Storemapper. Once you have done so, grab the URL for the image. Regular marker size is around 30x30px.

You can either change the marker icon for all locations on your map, or just for specific locations on your map (if you wish to signal specific brand stores etc).

To update all of the locations with a custom marker

  • Head over to the settings panel on the left hand menu
  • Select appearance
  • Select Marker Icon

  • Select the drop-down arrow and choose “change icon”

  • Copy and paste your hosted URL

  • Don’t forget to save

The second option is to set a custom marker for each individual store. This can be useful if you want to differentiate specific stores (those that have a specific product, flagship stores) etc. To add this image manually –

  • Select all stores on the left hand menu and “edit” to open up the store details
  • Scroll down to Custom marker
  • Add your URL
  • Don’t forget to save

You can also bulk upload and add them to the Custom marker URL column in the bulk upload template or Google Drive sync template.
